The new Pilotest website

We are delighted to introduce the new Pilotest website, built for practising the aptitude and psychomotor tests of the ENAC-EPL competitive exam and the Air France selections.
We were well aware of the technical limits of the previous version, so this one has been designed to run on every kind of device: PC, Mac and Linux computers, tablets, phones. The new site therefore runs alongside the old one for a few months, so that we can settle it down technically and polish the way it works. Do get in touch with your criticism, bug reports, suggestions, or your feedback from the 2017 Psy 1 sessions. Your messages are always welcome.
A few technical notes. The tests run in any recent internet browser. That said, we have tuned the display for the latest versions of Chrome (v57), Firefox (v52), Safari (v9.1.1) and MS Edge. Internet Explorer gives unpredictable results. It will nevertheless stay supported through the summer of 2017, but we do recommend one of the compatible browsers listed above.
As for mobile phones, the site does display on them, but expecting to practise certain tests on a phone is wishful thinking. Most of the spatial and psychomotor tests need an 8-inch screen to be worth doing at all.
Joysticks, on the other hand, now work natively in Firefox and Chrome. No plugin required. On top of that, a "virtual joysticks" mode is available for touchscreens: it draws joysticks on the screen for you to play with. Just be careful not to over-condition yourself.
The tests are also designed to work offline. An internet connection is needed only to load a test or to retrieve your results; the test itself runs without one. So you can now put your bus and train journeys to good use, or even the odd lecture.
Finally, on the practical side, both the new site and the old one are free until further notice.
